Rebuilt

The National Office for Evangelisation is now selling the book  ‘Rebuilt: Awakening the Faithful, Reaching the Lost and Making Church Matter’.

To order download the order form here or call the Office on 1300 432 484 (1300 4 FAITH)

Fr. Michael White and lay associate Tom Corcoran present the compelling and inspiring story to how they brought their parish back to life.    They will be the keynote speakers at the PROCLAIM 2014 Conference on the New Evangelisation and will expand on what is shared in the book.

Rebuilt is a story of stopping everything and changing focus. When their parish reached a breaking point, Fr Michael White and Tom Corcoran asked themselves how they could make the Church matter to Catholics, and they realised the answer was at the heart of the Gospel. Their faithful response not only tripled their weekend mass attendance, but also yielded increased giving, flourishing ministries, and a vibrant, solidly Catholic spiritual revival. Fr Michael White and Tom Corcoran invite all Catholic leaders to share the vision, borrow their strategies, and rebuild their own parishes. They offer a wealth of guidance for anyone with the courage to hear them. For more information: http://rebuiltparish.com/

Reconnect

ImageReaching out to those  not active in the life of the Church

Did you know that of the 5 million Catholics in Australia, 4.2 million do not regularly participate in the life of the Church?

These statistics from the 2006 census, quantify what we see around us: that our parents, children, family, friends and neighbours are not regular participants in parish life.

If your parish is concerned about how you might reach people and invite them to consider coming back to Mass more regulalry, then you might want to find out more about Reconnect - a program of welcome for inactive Catholics.

Listen to a presentation by Br Peter Hendricks MSC on his experience of conducting the pilot of Reconnect at St Thomas' Willoughby.
